Learning Targets and Learning Criteria

Students will sing using their singing voices.

Students will review various rhythms. 

Students will perform rhythms on rhythm sticks.

Students will perform a rhythm stick line dance. 

Students will complete a Kahoot review of our World Music Unit (online and in person)

Students will compose their own “pizza rhythm.”

Brief review of World Music songs

  • Kookaburra
  • Penny Whistle (New) 
  • World Music Kahoot review

Rhythms

  • Review quarter notes, eighth notes, quarter rests
  • Introduce sixteenth notes and triplets 
  • Rhythm Stick Line Dance Activity

Pizza Rhythms

  • Go over different rhythm “toppings” 
  • Explain activity 
  • Students will create/compose their own pizza rhythm and add their own “toppings” on their pizza
