Learning Targets and Learning Criteria

Students will sing using their singing voices. 

Students will do a kahoot review on their World Music Unit. 

Students will compose their own piece using correct rhythm notation, time signature, and Treble Clef notation. 

Students will play on their recorders (weather permitting). 

Students will perform a rhythm stick line dance. 

Students will play “Pitch Parkway” and review reading Treble Clef notation.

Rhythm Stick Line Dance

  • Review rhythms with rhythm sticks
  • Add movement 
  • Go over line dance 
  • Perform with the music 

Pitch Parkway

  • Students will be put into groups to play this music board game
  • Review of reading Treble Clef

Composition Project

  • Students will compose an 8-12 measure piece using proper music notation including time signatures, rhythms, and treble clef notation. 
  • Volunteers will have their pieces performed
Assignments Due

Kahoot if not completed in zoom class for online learners.
