Students will match pitch.
Students will sing using their singing voices.
Students will demonstrate great classroom behavior.
Students will move to music.
Students will find and maintain a steady beat.
Students will read “Pete the Cat and the Perfect Pizza Party” as a class.
Students will add instrument accompaniment to “Pete the Cat” and play in parts.
Students will complete a listening and singing assessment.

Review

Read Pete the Cat and the Perfect Pizza Party
– Learn chant
– Body Percussion
– Add instruments to go along with the different pizza toppings
– Correct instruments will play when their topping is called (playing in parts, listening, following directions)

Cookoo Where are You? (F2F)
– One student will go somewhere in the classroom and sing a solo “Cookoo here I am”
– All the other students will have their eyes close and listen and point to where they think the student is in the room
– Listening and singing assessment

Carnival of the Animals
– If students have not completed The Carnival of the Animals Bingo identification game, they will finish it now

Moving to Music
– Miss Holvey will hold up a picture and students will have to march to the rhythm on the picture
– Rhythm assessment

If more time is needed, play a music game
