Classroom Activities

Special area right now is for enrichment purposes only.
Work will be kept at a minimum in order to reduce the workload for our students working from home.

The following is an assignment that can be chosen to send in for assessment.  They are allowed to choose any one exercise from my assignment options.
It is not due until April 30th.

For this lesson, please review the video that is posted in the additional resources box (https://florida.pbslearningmedia.org/resource/theater-overview/behind-the-scenes-of-a-theater-company/).  It is an interview with the directors of the Lexington Theatre Company.  Based on the information they provided, have your student build their own theatre company.  The following questions should be answered:
– What is the name of your theatre company?
– Where are you located?
– What kind of shows do you produce? (Children’s theatre, musicals, community vs. touring comps, etc.)
– What aspect is most important to your company? (Production values, acting quality, concerts/music, etc.)
– Plan an opening season: what three shows would you start with?
– Anything else you’d add?

Please email me the responses at terhuner@ivyhawnschool.org.
