  • Quick write prompt – What is your favorite illustrated story? Briefly tell what happens in the story and explain how the illustrations add to the story’s meaning. Please do your writing prompt in Teams. See attached video instructions to see how. https://bit.ly/usingclassnotebook

                Social Studies –

  • Write a journal entry as if you had been on the Oregon Trail. Include things like how the travel is, is your family health, what the weather conditions are like, etc. Be creative and do a little more research if you need to so you can make this journal entry realistic. Do your writing in your social studies tab on Teams in the class notebook.

Wednesday –

                Reading –

  • Iready – 45 minutes **You need to do 45 minutes not just one lesson that only takes 5 minutes. Keep working until you get to the 45 minute time frame.**

  • Lesson 21 part 3 – practice you can do this in Nearpod https://share.nearpod.com/vsph/1BSgI3qOLu or in your book p388-389 & 391. If you do the work in your book please send me a picture of your work.

  • Newsela.com – The Brave Pioneers – read and answer questions only no written response.

 

Friday –

                Reading –

  • Lesson 21 part 4 – goformative quiz (class code WNWZNQ if you did not join yet) or p392-397 in Ready Reading book. Be sure to send me pictures of your pages if you complete this in the book.

                Social Studies –

  • Use this link to play through the old Oregon Trail game https://www.retrogames.cz/play_687-DOS.php?language=EN. Play through at least once and write a 5 – 10 sentence summary of your game. Include important information such as did you run out of supplies? Did your whole family make the journey? Did anyone die? Did anyone get sick or did your wagon break? To submit your reflection please use the Social Studies tab in Teams Class Notebook. You may play more than once but only write your reflection on one of the attempts. Have fun!
