|Learning Targets and Learning Criteria|
SS Targets – Students will be able to explain how westward expansion increased the need for better travel and communication. Students will be able to describe new modes of transportation and communication in the 1800’s. Students will be able to explain what manifest destiny was and how it led to conflict in Texas.

Monday – ELA – complete 45 minutes of I-Ready. Log on through your V-Portal.
SS – Go to Brainpop – You will do the lesson on Railroad history (Perdisatt homeroom – blink0559) or (Rosso homeroom- grease7903) After you have watched the video complete the graded quiz as a review and the additional worksheet and email me your results. You can either print out the quiz and send me a picture of it completed OR you can complete the quiz online and once finished there is a button link at the bottom of the quiz that says “email results to your teacher” Please do this so I can see that you completed the work. Tuesday – ELA – Ready Reading Lesson 20 pages 350-353 & 358. I have created a video for you to follow along with me. You may access it here. Please complete the workbook pages in your ready reading workbook or download the pages here .Ready Reading Lesson 20.
SS – Nearpod code ACPTO. This lesson is for Tuesday and Wednesday. This goes along with Westward Expansion packet pages 10-11. We will NOT be doing lesson 6 in the packet.
Wednesday – ELA – Ready Reading Lesson 20 pages 354-357 &359. I have created a video for you to follow along with me. (it’s better than Tuesday!) You may access it here. Please complete the workbook pages in your book or download the pages you need are in Tuesday.
Thursday – Kennedy Space Center Virtual Field Trip – Directions for today’s project have been sent to your school email. Have a blast!
Friday – ELA – There will be a formative that was created for you in Goformative.ALL STUDENTS PLEASE GO TO THE WEBSITE HTTPS://GOFORMATIVE. COM You should have created or will create today an account by joining either my homeroom(using the code BPFBTG) or Mrs. Rosso’s homeroom(using the code MOYGVG) class. Please use your last name and first initial(perdisattb) for your user name and 1alpha for your password. You must have already created your account and used the class code! Once you have logged in choose the formative named Lesson 20. Be sure you have completed this week’s assignments as they will help you do well on this formative. It goes with the Ready Reading book pages 360-363. If you do not have internet access let me know so I can arrange to see the answers to your test another way.
SS – This is a graded formative. Brainpop video – go to the “Texas Revolution”
and watch the video. I suggest taking notes while you watch, and pause. It is only 5 minutes long. Complete the graded quiz as your assignment! This can all be completed online. Be sure you have completed this week’s assignments as they will help you do well on this formative. When you are finished, email me your results. You can either print out the quiz and send me a picture of it completed OR you can complete the quiz online and once finished, use the button link at the bottom of the quiz that says “email results to your teacher” to firstname.lastname@example.org. I can then see your completed work there.
