Ms. Perdisatt’s Remote Learning Guide

Dear Families,
I hope this letter finds you happy and ready to get back into somewhat of a routine! I know I am. I miss you all and look forward to seeing you again soon. During this time I will be staying in touch with you all through Remind 101 or e-mail. If you have not subscribed to Remind 101, as of yet, the codes are below for your reference. Please note that any assignments online should be the student’s own work. All lesson plans and resources will be posted on Classroom Connect. Lesson plans will include links to Nearpod lessons, documents, paper reference and me! Students should have approximately 45 minutes of ELA and 45 minutes of Social Studies daily. The plans are set up in a daily format, however students may work ahead if they want. Students may complete the assignments in any order as long as all assignments are completed by Friday at 3 PM. At that time I will input grades and note any missing assignments in the grade book. For some of the assignments (not in a Nearpod, or something you have hand written) you may take a picture of your work and send it to me via Remind.
I will be available Monday through Friday 8:00 – 3:00. If you have any questions or need help, please do not hesitate to contact me via remind or e-mail. I will respond as soon as possible. I am teaching 45 students so I appreciate your patience. If you contact me outside of my office hours, I will get back to you the following day.
Mrs. Rosso’s homeroom – Genius Hour projects – you can continue working on your projects at home. After speaking to each of you, I decided the new due date will be Friday, April 24. You should be prepared to present on that day. If we have not resumed class in school, we will present by some other means, ie Zoom. You may also read Hatchett. We stopped ready together on page 64. You may continue reading and completing the companion worksheet questions. Do this only after you have finished other daily assignments.
Ms. Perdisatt’s homeroom – I will be reading Racing in the Rain and posting it for you to listen to. I want you to think about the perspective of how this book is written.(from that of the dog, Enzo). There will be a writing assignment in the lesson plans for you!
Sincerely,
Ms. Perdisatt
