Students will: – identify and explain the text structures of a given text and demonstrate understanding of how these skills contribute to understanding of written text. – summarize a text using the main point of a text using only the main ideas of a text and putting it in their own words. – continue to determine the meaning of unknown words using context clue, word relationships, and reference materials –how European Explorers effected the Native American tribes of Florida.
