Students will:
explain that the earth rotates every 24 hours and causes day and night
explain that the earth revolves(orbits) around the sun once a year
explain the earth’s rotation on its axis causes the sun/stars to appear as though they are moving
discuss the effects of space research and how it has created advances in science that have effected our economy and culture of Florida
research products that were generated specifically for space but are now used for public use

apply an understanding of addition and subtraction, place value and multiple strategies to use the standard algorithms for addition and subtraction of whole numbers

Use Discovery Education 2.1 and 2.3 to read and discuss Earth’s rotation and revolving
Watch and discuss Generation Genius
Research different products that were generated just for space
Create sun, moon, earth model for notebooks
Continue with moon calendars
Students will rotate and revolve around a sun (role-play)
