Assignments Due

Assignment: Q3W4

This week we will be starting into our dairy unit. You will get to work with a partner on this week’s assignment and you must work together in order to come to an agreeable conclusion…part of this work is a compromise. We will be studying the 5 main breeds of dairy cattle and you will have the choice of either doing an informational poster about ONE of the 5 breeds OR doing a PowerPoint. You will have class time to do your research and work on your poster. Please see attached rubric for grading. You must cover the following categories on your poster or PowerPoint and your PowerPoint must have at least 8 slides (you must site your sources).

*What country did your breed of dairy cattle originate from?

*What year did it first arrive in the United States?

*Breed characteristics? Average weight? Average milk production? Common look? How does it vary from other dairy cattle?

*What is the average milk production for this breed and what is the milk used for?

*Where is the largest number of this breed located?

*Any further information you would like to include that you found relevant.

Assignment: Q3W5
