Assignments Due

Assignment:

This week we will be starting on an ADI assignment. The Essential Question that everyone will be looking at, regardless of subject area, is “How is/are fill in the blank affecting the future of agriculture?”

Tuesday: We’ll be starting off by looking at 3 different topics (you will choose the topic that captures your interest). You’ll read 2 articles about that topic and then tell me 5 things you learned about and 3 things you still wonder about. Once you complete this (about 50 minutes), you will either choose what group you would like to work with. Groups will be 3-4 people (I reserve the right to place you in a group if you don’t find people you would like to work with). You will research your topic with the intent of answering your “things you wonder about”. Remember to cite your sources. Taking notes will be very important!

Wednesday: Continue working on research, please see Mrs. Potter with questions.

Friday: Begin compiling your research into either a poster, PowerPoint or a research paper. Other ideas? See me about them! 🙂 You are looking to get at least 20 facts on your overall topic and bonus points for answering the “things you wonder about” questions.

Next week we will have presentations of our poster/PowerPoint or research papers. Be prepared to present on Tuesday.
