Welcome back to Journey 2050, this week we will be studying how the economy has a ripple effect on agriculture. Remember, we will have no class on Wednesday! 🙂 This week we will look at how the economy effects agriculture. Beyond that we will look at how YOU think the future will look.

Assignment: due on Tuesday, November 17th
After talking about the economy this week and the ripple effect the economy has on the government, we realize that the economy has many effects. With that in mind and taking into account all that you have learned about agricultural sustainability, tell me what you think 2050 is going to look like. Choose one of the following assignments and it needs to be turned in by the beginning of class on Tuesday, November 17th.
*You can do this by writing a 3 paragraph essay (REMEMBER – each paragraph needs to be at least 5 sentences).
*You can draw a picture of your depiction of the future, your picture needs to be done on a standard 8.5″ X 11″ sheet of paper and needs to be colorful.
*You can do a PowerPoint and outline some key features of the future you foresee. This assignment should contain at least 5 PowerPoint slides including a title slide and should contain pictures inserted into your slides.
Things to keep in mind for this assignment: The economy will impact agriculture (including what we have to eat and how we grow it), technology, transportation, living accommodations, education, and so much more. Brainstorm about how YOU think 2050 will look.
