09.03 Identify characteristics of a good leader.

This week we will be:

* Having classroom discussion time about integrity and what it means.

* Look at different situations and determine if the individual acted with integrity.

* Tie these characteristics of integrity in to what a “good leader” looks like.

Bell Ringers:

Wednesday (1/19): When you think of integrity, what words come to mind?

Friday: “Integrity is not something you show others. It is how you behave behind their back.” Based on what we talked about on Wednesday, what do you think this means?

Assignment:

At the core of the FFA is the opportunity for students to develop their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success and make a positive difference in the lives of others. This week we are going to discuss integrity. Part of your assignment (50%) will be our classroom discussion/written responses to work in class. I expect that every student will actively be involved in our conversations about integrity and honesty.

On Friday I will introduce 3 different articles on integrity (Integrity 1, Integrity 2, and Integrity 3). Students will be expected to pick an article that they are interested in and write 1 paragraph (at least 5 sentences) about how they saw the importance of honesty and integrity within the article. They will also write about whether they agreed or disagreed. Remember, at least 5 sentences. This part of the assignment will be worth the remainder of the 50% of the grade for the week and is due by Friday, 1/21.
