Learning Targets and Learning Criteria |
My students will work in their iReady workbooks and spend 45 minutes on iReady. My students will research 25 critical facts about The Titanic and the night it sunk. My students will participate in discussions and come to class prepared. My students will read: magazine articles, books, Internet articles, etc. to practice reading and learn new information.
My students will learn 3 new vocabulary words: pragmatist – a person who is practical and weighs all of the facts pessimist – a person who usually looks on the negative side of things optimist – a person who usually looks on the positive side of things |
Classroom Activities |
I will ZOOM with my classes three times a week: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. at 11:00 for period 1, 11:30 for period 2, and 12:00 noon for period 3. Students will compete their assignments at home in a timely manner. We will discuss answers at the next meeting. I will give 2 formative grades each week. I believe the other core subjects are giving 1 formative grade, but since we are ELA/Reading, we are giving 2 grades. |
