Classroom Activities

Monday – Read class novel, Submerged. Discuss. Look for words you don’t know, author’s purpose, foreshadowing, humor, and other text details. Quiz.

Tuesday – Read class novel, discuss. Assignment: iReady workbook pp. 211 – 218.

Wednesday – Read YOUR OWN chapter book. You must have a book to show me.  Afternoon – Read class novel. 

Thursday – Read class novel, discuss. Quiz

Friday – Kahoot game based on Submerged.  Go over iReady

Assignments Due
  1. iReady workbook pp. 211 – 218. Due FRIDAY. Read both passages. Answer all of the questions and do the writing assignments. You will be quizzed on these on FRIDAY.
  2. Watch BOTH VIDEOS on your own time. You need to know this material by FRIDAY.
  3. Pay attention in class. Be ready to read when Dr. Forney calls on you.
  4. Come to class on time.
  5. Participate in all classroom discussions. Give answers, ask questions, find evidence in the text, etc.
  6.  Ask Dr. Forney to define any words in the story that you are not familiar with.
