Dear Parents and Students,
All lessons for this 5th week of remote learning can be found on Google Classroom. If you haven’t been on Google Classroom yet, you will need to join your class with a join code. The join codes are:
Regular Math: vi5nfdt
Advanced Math: wyny6jd
The lessons for this week are listed under “Classroom” then “Assignments” on Google Classroom. Each lesson name starts with the date then lists the subject. For Regular Math, the first lesson is Monday, April 27 – Circle Area & Circumference Review. For Advanced Math, the first lesson is Monday, April 27 – Graphing Functions/Catching Zombies. Completed assignments should be screen shot and turned into Google Classroom. Please do not use REMIND or email to attach screen shots of work. Here is video on how to submit screen shots to Google Classroom. Click on this link:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjrJvMiTRgw . This might be a bit too elementary, but it’s very clear. I also put a textual description of steps for submitting work to Google Classroom on Remind last week. Here is a copy of it:
Go to Google Classroom. Click on Classroom. Go to the date of the assignment you want to submit and click on it. It should open up with the date at the top and a title on the second line. Click on the second line. A box will appear on the right side of screen that says, “Your Work.” Click on “+Add or create.” Click on “File.” Upload your screen shot by either selecting a file from your device or dragging a file.
Be sure to submit your screen shot/work to the related assignment on Google Classroom. Do not submit 4 or 5 different assignments on one day/assignment. Thank you for your cooperation with this request. I can grade assignments and give valuable feedback quickly if everyone follows these procedures.
There are no IXL assignments this week. The last assignments on Friday will be graded, as well as one other assignment.
I will not use Zoom this week. I will be working to move grades into the grade book on Focus this week from two email accounts, Remind, and Google Classroom. It is a time-consuming process, but I hope to have everything transferred this week by Friday.
Many grades can be viewed in Google Classroom. Students may make corrections to these assignments to improve grades. See comments on assignments that were turned into Google Classroom. Be sure to SHOW YOUR WORK to get credit for gradable assignments.
If you have any questions, please contact me through REMIND (also Ivy Hawn email which is email@example.com ). I will see those messages before any comments on Google Classroom “stream” or county email. Have a great week! Thank you for all of your hard work.
