Learning Targets and Learning Criteria

Learning Targets:

Students will be able to identify all elements of a plot diagram. Students will be able to pull apart each of the five stages (exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution/denouement). From there, students will be able to independently practice creating their own plot diagram. 

Classroom Activities

Monday, May 4th  – Read/listen to Chapter 11 in The Outsiders novel.
Zoom Meeting: For security reasons, live lessons in large groups are discontinued.  Zoom is available for one-on-one sessions and in a small group setting.

Tuesday, May 5th – Read/listen to Chapter 12 in The Outsiders novel.
Wednesday, May 6th –  Complete the comprehension and vocabulary questions for Chapters 11 & 12
Thursday, May 7th –  Complete the Plot Diagram for The Outsiders novel.  You do not need to use the attached form.  You may use any type of paper you would like.  
Friday, May 8th –  45-Minutes on iReady
All work should be typed and sent via V-Portal using Word to:  HLBaker@volusia.k12.fl.us
You may pick up paper packets at Ivy Hawn – Yellow. (Follow Connect Ed instructions.)
If you prefer to handwrite the material, you may take a photo of your work and send via Remind.

Friday, May 8th – 45-Minutes on iReady
Friday, May 15th – The Outsiders End of Unit Project is Due
Please review the PPT below.  In the PPT, you will find several ideas for your end of unit project.  You may select one of my assignments or create your own.  If you create your own, please send me a message with your idea!  You may use copy paper, lined paper, poster paper, construction paper, poster board, PPT, you name it!  Whatever medium you desire!
When you are finished, take a photo of your project or share it with me off of Vportal.
