LAFS.6.RL.1.3 Describe how a particular story’s or drama’s plot unfolds in a series of episodes as well as how the characters respond or change as the plot moves toward a resolution.

Learning Targets and Learning Criteria

Learning Target: Students will determine a theme or central idea of a text and how it is conveyed through particular details (RL.1.2)

I can explain how the theme is shown through details in the text. 

Learning Target: Students will analyze a character’s interactions throughout a story as they relate to conflict and resolution. (RL.1.3)

I can analyze how a character’s thoughts, actions, and dialogue relates to the text.

Assignments will be posted, in detail, on www.edmodo.com under your individual class, as well as, the attachment at the top of this page.

Assignments will include: Text (non-fiction, poetry, short story, drama) comprehension and analysis, iReady, NewsELA, & Thinkcerca.   I am using a new resource for our poetry unit.  I hope you enjoy!
