Find the greatest common factor of two whole numbers less than or equal to 100 and the least common multiple of two whole numbers less than or equal to 12. Use the distributive property to express a sum of two whole numbers 1-100 with a common factor as a multiple of a sum of two whole numbers with no common factor.

Learning Targets and Learning Criteria

I know I am successful when I can: 

• apply odd and even numbers to understand factors and multiples.
• apply divisibility rules (review rules for 2, 4, 5, 8, and 10),
specifically for 3 and 9.
• find the least common multiple and greatest common factor and
apply factors to the distributive property.

Classroom Activities

This week we will get right to our standards beginning with our first unit “Number Systems”

We will create our interactive notebooks we will use all year and demonstrate our understanding of the above standards multiple ways including digitally utilizing our blending curriculum. 

Assignments Due

The week students will be assigned the following on IXL to practice class concepts:

IXL: (Monday/Wednesday) E3, E4, E5 students are expected to reach at least an 80% on these assignments. 

IXL: (Thursday) E7 at least an 80%


Additional Resources

If additional help is needed, students are encouraged to view a lesson regarding a given topic on Khan Academy. This website is free and provides both video instruction as well as practice problems. 

Students are able to complete additional practice on both Mathspace and IXL
