Monday: October 5th

Virtual Students:

Zoom at 8:00

Students will begin the session with bell work for week 6. Students will be practicing multiplying fractions. Students should use their notes from previous lesson to assist them.

In zoom session student will take notes in their interactive notebook on example of multiplying fractions and whole numbers (page 18) as well as multiplying mixed numbers and whole numbers (page 20). Students will print the fraction foldable “Fraction Operation Chart”,  and put it in notebook, it will be placed on page 19. The multiply fraction reminder page will go on page 21 cut to size. Students will finish lesson 4 on Edgenuity “Dividing a Fraction by a Whole Number.  Students will also begin work on Multiply Fractions OOO page located on top of Classroom Connect page for week 6 lesson plan (due for grade 10/9).

Face to Face Students:

As students enter the classroom they will begin bell work for multiplying fractions.  Students should use their notes from previous lesson to assist them with content.

Student will take notes in their interactive notebook on example of multiplying fractions and whole numbers (page 18) as well as multiplying mixed numbers and whole numbers (page 20). Students will enter the zoom session and work on the bell work for Wednesday. Students will be multiplying fractions with whole numbers. Students will be encouraged to use their notes in the interactive notebook to assist them.

A brief review will be given on the various types of multiplying with fractions and then students will work to complete a practice page for multiplying with fractions to be sent to me as a graded assignment. Students will log off of session to complete work.

Makeup date for Summative will be Wednesday for Virtual Advanced students due to computer issues in previous session.  Advanced student will remain on zoom while they test.

Face 2 Face Students:

Students will enter room and work on the bell work for Wednesday. Students will be multiplying fractions with whole numbers. Students will be encouraged to use their notes in the interactive notebook to assist them.
