Learning Targets and Learning Criteria

MAFS.6.NS.3.5: (Links to an external site.) Understand that positive and negative numbers are used together to describe quantities having opposite directions or values.

MAFS.6.NS.3.7: (Links to an external site.) Understand ordering and absolute value of rational numbers.

MAFS.6.NS.3.8: (Links to an external site.) Solve real-world and mathematical problems by graphing points in all four quadrants of the coordinate plane.

MAFS.6.NS.3.6abc: (Links to an external site.)Understand a rational number as a point on the number line.

MAFS.6.G.1.3: (Links to an external site.)Draw polygons in the coordinate plane given coordinates for the vertices; use coordinates to find the length of a side joining points with the same first coordinate or the same second coordinate.

Classroom Activities

Monday: No School – Teacher Duty Day

Tuesday:
Focus 4:Integers and Rational Numbers

Testing will be finalized Thursday or Friday for any students that did not get to complete the testing session.

Thursday/ Friday:
Continue iReady testing and work on completing IXL assignments on Integers and Rational Numbers Section P.
P.1 – P.11 Omit (skip) 9 & 10

Due to the lack of class time allowed for unit instruction, Take Home Test will be given on Integers and Rational Numbers to return by Monday, 2/1. Students may use the resources given to them for assistance.

All IEP and ESOL accommodations provided daily.
