ESE/ 504/ ESOL : Extra time and small group will be available for assignments. Scaffolding of the material and reading content based questions will be used. Copies of the power point will be made available for note-taking purposes. Extra time will be given to those students needing.requiring it for assignments/quizzes/tests.

• compare and contrast different types of infectious agents that may affect the human body, including:
virus – i.e. cold
bacteria – i.e. strep throat
fungi – i.e. athlete’s foot
parasite – i.e. cholera
• compare and contrast treatments for viruses versus bacterial infection
Student will read texts about bacteria and virus, and compare and contrast how these pathogens interact with the human body.
Students will participate in a lab about fungi and note changes to moldy bread over time
Students will watch videos on bacteria and viruses, then compare and contrast bacteria and viruses.
