SS.6.W.3.2- Explain the democratic concepts (polis, civic participation and voting rights, legislative bodies, written constitutions, rule of law) developed in ancient Greece.
SS.6.W.3.3- Compare life in Athens and Sparta.
|Learning Targets and Learning Criteria|
This is for ALL student this week. There is NO EDGENUITY for my innovation students.
Monday: Students will create a “T-Chart” in their notebooks and then create a post card from either city: Athens or Sparta. I have attached the Athens vs Sparta chart in a word document, if you would like to print it you can.
NO ZOOM on Wednesday!
Thursday: We will go over the types of government in Greece and the differences we see compared to today.

Monday: Students will take guided notes on Athens and Sparta. Then they will create POSTCARDS! The student will choose which city they are interested in and on one side they need to have a detailed drawing on the other a letter to a friend from the city in which they live, Athens or Sparta and what it is like to live there. The letter must be 10 sentences long.
Innovation Students please send me the postcard, either pictures sent to my remind or email. Thank you!
ALL IEP and ESOL accommodations will be provided daily.
When a student is absent, it is their responsibility to check in with me and get any notes or materials they may have missed. Students will have the number of days absent to complete missing work.
