Learning Targets and Learning Criteria
  • Students will examine primary and secondary sources on the same event or time period in history and compare details.
  • Examples may include, but are not limited to, artifacts, images, auditory sources, and written sources.
  • Students will describe the importance of using both primary and secondary sources to answer questions about an event or time period.
  • Students will understand the importance of credibility of sources.

**I do not feel comfortable posting the zoom code on a public website so please message me via Remind or email for the code if you need access. I will also not be available to message you once class has begun. If you need the code, it is imperative that you message me at least 20 minutes prior. If a zoom class is missed you will be marked absent and you will need to see our 6th grade checklist for the day’s assignments.

Innovation Students will complete lesson 4 this week. 

Face to Face students will complete activities centered on Primary and Secondary sources. 

Assignments Due

Due for Innovation:

  • Lesson #4 is to be completed this week. Make sure that if you are not on lesson #4 yet you are working diligently to complete your previous lessons. Lessons 1-3 should be complete at this time. Keep in mind, Edgenuity will not allow you to move forward until the previous assignment is completed. 

Face to Face Students: 

  • Timeline about Me (Requirements and an example have been sent out via remind) Please let me know if you have any issues completing the assignment. 
  • Test will be taken at the end of the week covering unit 1 – Intro to World History- Students will be provided with a study guide. 
Additional Resources

ALL IEP and ESOL accommodations will be provided daily.

When a student is absent, it is their responsibility to check in with me and get any notes or materials they may have missed.  Students will have the number of days absent to complete missing work.  If you need any assignments emailed or have any questions or concerns, please contact me via remind or email me directly at smithk@ivyhawnschool.org.
