WEEKLY STANDARDS

REVIEW WEEK/ NO SPELLING OR VOCABULARY

Social Studies: 

SS.G.2.1 – Label the countries and commonwealths in North America (Canada, Unites States, Mexico) and in the Caribbean (Puerto Rico, Cuba, Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica).

SS.3.G.2.4 – Describe the physical features of the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean.

ELA Activities: Students will participate in small group learning in addition to whole group instruction. 

ELA Learning Targets:

LAFS.3.RI.3.7- Show understanding of a text by correctly combining information in visual features with information in the text.

LAFS.3.RI.3.7- Read and interpret maps and photographs associated with a text.

LAFS.3.RI.3.8 – Describe how sentences in a text are connected by cause-and-effect and sequence.

LAFS.3.RI.3.9- Describe how paragraphs in a text are connected by cause-and-effect relationship.

LAFS.3.RI.3.9- Compare and contrast the most important points and key details presented in two texts on the same topic.

Writing Targets:

3.W.3.8 – Gather information from sources; take brief notes and sort evidence into categories.

  • Students will be able to demonstrate Informative writing skills through a series of writing prompts.

This is a review week for testing. No SPELLING or VOCABULARY words.
