ELA learning target: Reading- Using anchor charts and visual instruction, students will use key words of cause and effect to understand the importance of how this text structure helps the reader comprehend a text.
Writing: Students will use proper conventions in their daily writing journals. Students will continue to research and brainstorm about an animal that they will create a project about.
Social Studies Target: Students will identify the 3 branches of government and will specifically focus on the judicial branch and its function in our society.
Students will use key word strategies for the text structure of cause and effect in order to identify what happened (the effect) and why it happened (the cause) .
